GRRRA
Arizona Chapter E

Chapter Director

I was going to start this months article by saying that the warm weather is finally here, but it really went from cool to hot.

I want to thank all who came out for highway cleanup. We had a really nice turn out and it made the job go much quicker. Thanks again to Warren Wright for arrange for the JROTC to help out.

We had enjoyable time at the pot luck and full moon ride, even though we didn't ride. We had fun sitting out side talking and watching the full moon rising. Those who came to the pot luck
did get their ride going home to Douglas, Wetstone and Sierra Vista. We also had a nice turn out for the reburial of the Civil War soldiers, it was a very interesting day. If you haven't looked at our website, you should. Jim has posted pictures that Tom, Jack and I sent to him, I think you will enjoy them.

REMEMBER THERE WILL NOT BE A MEETING OR STAFF MEETING IN July AND I AM NOT SURE ABOUT AUGUST. We will discuss this at the meeting this month and make up a calendar for August at the Staff Meeting.

Keep John and Neoma Stewart in your prayers and think good thoughts for them.

See you at the June 2nd Get Together.

Assistant Chapter Director

Well, we had a successful month in May beginning with Highway Cleanup which vastly improved the view along highway 90.  We then had a very nice Pot Luck at the Brown mansion followed by a
very nice sit around and watch the moon rise in their back patio. We then attended the Reinterment Ceremony for the Civil War era Soldiers that was very nice and respectfully attended by about
750 folks.  If you don’t find anything on the schedule to satisfy your needs/wants, please talk to any member of the staff or come to a staff meeting.

I think that Spring may be over so be prepared for hot weather, no matter what you are driving/riding.  Drink plenty of water and keep in mind that the pavement gets soft this time of year, especially those snakes in the road where the Highway Department has repaired cracks.  Also keep in mind that if you
are uncomfortable riding, we still want to see you at our events, even if your vehicle has too many wheels, or even better, share a ride with others who feel the same way.

It has already begun to get hot.  Don’t forget to take plenty of water along.

As of this writing, I have just received and passed along a very encouraging email on John Stewart’s condition.  Keep John and Neoma in your prayers.

Just a quick reminder that we will not have a meeting in July since a large number of members will be at Wing Ding.  Yours truly and spouse may not be back in time for the August meeting either but other staff will.

Attend Chapter E events when you can.  Remember you are GWRRA members of all Chapters.  Join other Chapters for their events when you can.
